Kamaro'an is a Taiwanese label that draws inspiration from  indigenous culture, creating beautiful handmade accessories crafted from natural raw materials. The Woven Lid bag is a nod to the vintage indigenous lid basket used for carrying tools. It has a structured shape and adjustable straps, all made from Italian vegetable tanned leather. This material has a smooth finish and will naturally evolve with time, developing an unique patina colour and gradually changing from light to dark, and from flat to shiny.

The label draws on inspiration from Taiwanese indigenous culture and this sculptural triangle bag boasts an intricately woven handle inspired by a traditional bag for carrying rice found along the eastern coast.

Kamaro’an draws on inspiration from Taiwanese indigenous culture for its exceptional line up of accessories and this koreng bucket bag takes inspiration from traditional Pangcah pottery. This piece doubles as a storage basket with a  adjustable handle so it can also be used as a shoulder bag. It is hand crafted by master artisans in Taiwan.

This rakar crossbody bag from Kamaro’an is inspired by the Taiwanese rakar, a cocoon-shaped fish trap with a functional “padiwawa” or lid. The label takes inspiration from Taiwanese indigenous culture and embodies the philosophy of ancient ways of life. This bag is hand crafted by master artisans in Taiwan.

In the label’s own words, Kamaro’an celebrates the uniqueness, timelessness and precision that craftsmanship by hand can bring to life. This bag is inspired by the traditional pangcah fish trap and created through a method of hand weaving that was developed in house by traditional artisans. It is uniquely dimensional and can be converted from a bucket bag to be worn as a clutch.
